About two weeks ago I was tagged/challenged on Instagram, by the beautiful Kristen from Treats and Travels, to share 20 random facts about myself. I have a love/hate relationship with challenges like this because I'm rather a boring person and 20 random facts about me are not thought of easily. I do love a challenge though!
I've been racking my brain, as I sit here deathly ill with the flu, to come up with 20 facts. 20 little bits of informative, potentially amusing, and useless bits of information. Without further ado, here are 20 random things that you may or may not know about me!
________ 20 RANDOM FACTS ABOUT LITTLE OLE ME ________
1. I can do a wicked accurate impression of Yoda. ( Nerdy + mildy impressive, right? )
2. I am terrible at initiating communication when it comes to calls and texts. If you want to talk to me send up a smoke signal, break down my front door, rapid fire my phone with emojis. Anything to get my attention. I'm in the conversation for the long haul after that!
3. For no particularly explainable reason, I dream of visiting Colorado someday. It's on the bucket list.
4. I love memes. My best friend, Llana, knows this all too well. I even make my own memes. During finals week, I post one meme a day that pertains to finals and attach an essay of witty explanation of it, to Llana's timeline. ( Hey Llana.. MEMEs ).
5. I am in fact a smidge Italian. Though my alabaster skin and green eyes provide no proof of that truth.
6. I am burn the house down terrified of spiders.
7. Every single one of my eyelashes fell out on my left eye once. A portion of my eyelashes actually still fall out every few months or so. I have no idea why.
8. I am the baby of the family. Even all of my cousins are older than me.
9. I really love swirling peanut butter in my ice cream. It's too delectable to put into words.
10. I really can't stand chick flicks ( shock and horror ). Pride and Prejudice I must exclude from this.
11. I can do a fantastically dramatic rendition of Let It Go.
12. I am an Equestrian and have been riding horses since I was seven.
13. I broke my finger with a milk carton about a year and a half ago. A milk carton. How does something like that even happen?
14. I'm a bit of a gym rat, and I once burst numerous capillaries lifting too much weight.
15. My hair is naturally curly. I'm talking poodle curly. It's rather unruly.
16. I took two years of Spanish and remember nothing! But I can speak a little Russian.
17. I sustained a severe concussion, in a horseback riding accident, a little over a year ago. It took almost the whole year for me to be fit to fight again.
18. About four years ago my hair was accidentally turned burgundy, then turned burnt orange when it was stripped to correct it. If I ever had a desire to be a red head, it vanished after that.
19. I traveled to Israel a few years ago, with a group from my church, and it was one of the best experiences of my life.
20. I have a penchant for smuggling food into the movie theater. Tater Tots, Pizza, and Blizzards from Dairy Queen being favorites.
I'm quite surprised to say that I didn't struggle as much as I thought I would to come up with some pretty random facts. It was still no walk in the park. Challenge accepted and successfully executed! Now you know a little more about me. And if we ever go to the movies together I will happily smuggle in your favorite snack!
