THE COLOR RUN: THAT TIME I BATTLED A RAINBOW AND WON

The Color Run, The Color Run Savannah, kaleidoscope tour

I was extremely excited at the check-in party, but I'm not entirely sure that I can properly express through words how excited I was the day of, or how much fun The Color Run actually was! Even if three friends bailed. One the morning of. Thanks a lot! I'm not a morning person, but I crawled my way out of bed at 5:30 in the AM to do this Color Run. The run was an hour away in Savannah, GA so a car ride was in order. Am I the only one that is lulled to sleep like a baby on car rides? I didn't think so. You're just sittin' back there, eyes droopy, head bobbing, using the seatbelt as a pillow..

Anyway.

I learned something about myself while waiting in the happiest start line ever: I get really psyched in massive group situations early in the morning. Especially when there's a guy in neon green shorts + headband in front of me stretching and bouncing around like he's hopped up on red bull. I get all "yeah man, we 'bout to take off like a cheetah!!" excited. I could have sprinted all five kilometers.

The Color Run was everything that I was hoping it would be, but better! It will forever be that time I battled a rainbow and won. If you have the chance to do The Color Run, do it!! It is such a fun experience. Especially the shindig (festival) at the end. There are swag throws every little bit and color throws everything fifteen minutes or so. It's the best! Lucky for us, we made friends with "Goliath" during the festival and he caught a bunch of color bags for the color throws. The guy was ridiculously tall. He'd just snatch stuff right out of the air. I think I ended up with every single color by the end of it. The blue stuck on the most. I'm stained. I look like a smurf!

The color stations at every kilometer are tremendous fun and ever so lung clogging. I made it through pink with not a grain of color on me. Unacceptable. Purple got me and my iPhone pretty good though. The color directly thrown into my mouth..twice was somehow a part of the fun too.

The guy with the leaf blower attempted to blast some of the color off of everyone after the festival, but it didn't really work. The picture makes me laugh out loud though! I'm still on a bit of a Color Run high. I'm already signed up for The color Run in Charleston. If you live in the area and are doing the Charleston Color Run, Tweet me! We can have a blogger meet up!

I'm going to leave you in peace now and let the selfies speak for themselves!

Have you ever done The Color Run? What was your favorite part?
